love is too restrictive

I relied on my professor and peers to help me with developing my manual concept. After a few collaborative sessions, I decided to pivot and look beyond love and move towards the broader context of human connection. This gave me more room to play with interpersonal relationships that extend beyond romantic or intimate connotations.

I also knew I wanted my manual to be interactive. I wanted to prompt the reader to take action but to also reflect. I started to brainstorm everyday activities that one could perform to encourage human connection. I iterated on these activities by discussing my ideas with others as well as trying to perform some of them and reflecting on the experience.
