Design Objectives

How do we define lifestyle and reproductive health values and how do we prompt users to think about them when choosing birth control?

To begin to answer this question, we mapped common birth control attributes (often medical) into clusters to see what value themes emerged.

We struggled in identifying names of values based on the clusters we created and had to work through language and culture barriers as a team. In the end, we settled on three value sets that also resonate with a temporal framework: daily life (present), health and wellness (near future), and kids and pregnancy (future).
