One goal of the application was to promote equity in the pool of student applicants. Fortunately, I was able to conduct one-on-one tests with a diverse number of students and found that the application worked smoothly across populations.

Testing helped us ensure equity in how we create pools of student applicants to match with employers - and the online application should support the system, not act as barrier. We also gained insight into different ways staff could support students, such as helping them answer open-ended career questions or producing supplemental materals to help clarify work eligbility.
